Sweet Cornbread



  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Combine all dry ingredients. Then add wet ingredients and mix. Pour batter into a buttered/greased baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for ~23 minutes.

This turned out pretty good, but I think I prefer cornbread sweeter. Next time I will probably try this with 1+ cups sugar instead.

  2. The cornbread was very tasty, but I think I'd like it if it was a little more moist. Do you have any tips? Should I increase the amount of milk or oil?
